If you shoot me the last 8 of the vin I can look it up. I still have my GM axcess. All the trucks had a tail gate cable recall, some had a reflash of the SDM for the airbag and a few others that weredepending on date produced and area.

All 4 recalls have been done. The only warranty work done was a throttle body at 26,213 miles back in 2002.

The only real problem these trucks had that I really remember was the rear rotors warped fairly fast and got pitted but other then that I thought they were a pretty good truck.

front hub bearing assemblies almost always fail (of course they'll roar for a while before they fall apart) and the fuel pumps and water pumps go out at about 140k. other than that, they're solid

the problem is not physically moving a car with your little 'dime, but rather trying to stop one that becomes cumbersom.

Yes, but try to avoid an aftermarket hood. They are poorly made and are too flexible, so you cannot get decent gaps without the use of a ratchet strap and a welder. Unless they have improved in the last year or two.

couple updates. i've put about 600 or so miles on the truck since i got it. about 300 of those were towing about 3500lbs. i haven't been able to get a real accurate mileage rating because my hwy stuff was towing, and everything else has been mixed hwy/city. i got my first hp/efficiency mod in the mail today, so i put it on. it's an off-brand CAI i got on eBay for $75 shipped. it was all brand new, and included all the necessary hardware and clamps. fitment was OK, but not great. can't expect too much from a cheap CAI though. my butt-o-meter says i got a solid 5hp/5tq. i really did this for the mileage increase though. and it makes the engine sound cooler
