Dipstick filler tube help

Postby jrs85iroc » Wed Jul 14, 2010 10:35 pm

Just got my motor reman'd and was finishing up the install when I found that my old filler tube was broke. I can only find the cheesy chrome ones at the local auto parts stores and NONE of them fit whatsoever. they are too big. No debris in the hole, so...????? Where can I get a OEM style dipstick besides the local Chevy house?

Chevy Parts.com or Ebay would be where I would look.
1989 Iroc-Z L98 383 Forced induction (In Progress), hardtop, T-56, 9-bolt rear w/ 3.73

Project will be complete in 2030.

Is it possible that part of the dipstick is still in the block?

I have just changed over to the Lokar locking style. My local track is making them mandatory.
